EFFECTS OF A TORN BICEP

A torn biceps tendon happens because of electrical disruption in the muscular system. The muscles are enervated.

A muscle absorbs force.

Tears in tendons is more force to a tendon, than it can structurally handle. Tendons are strong. Sudden forceful impact usually strains tendons. Fatigue is compensation apparent in the tendon, because the muscle is dysfunctional. A chronic fatigue compensation pattern can occur.

Bicep pain is relative to bicep tendonitis. Both are functions of pain and compensation from an enervated muscle.

The muscles aren’t functioning regularly. It is unresponsive or slow, and a tear can cause interrupted circulation.

The nervous system works harder, because of an unresponsive muscle. Extra force is absorbed by the bicep tendon and attachments.

What to expect from diagnostic exams and surgery

A microscopic bicep tendon tear is common tendonitis. Micro-tears and scar tissue fibers are binding during self-healing process.

A small biceps tendon tear is two to 15% of strain can self-heal but unlikely. Muscle and connective tissue are very tight, and the muscles does not regularly respond. Pain can be a long procedure relative to the tendon fraying. Physiotherapy and support can help, but the pain is a factor of the healing procedure. ‘Reversing biceps tendonitis’ helps significantly, and assists the self-healing process. Surgery helps the physiotherapy process but severe bicep muscle strain is permanent damage to muscle strength.

A very torn bicep strain is a 20% to 90% tear. Bicep tendon reattachment surgery is imminent. Surgery reattaches the tendon, and cleans the injury. Casting and immobilization help the tendon to self-heal. Surgery does not reconnect the tendon. The cause of the tear can become chronic and more aggravated, if untreated. Surgery reinforces tendons become healthier. Despite muscle tightness and a dysfunctional muscle, self-healing is a fast process.

A complete bicep tendon rupture obliges bicep tendon reattachment surgery, that is six to eight weeks of recovery time. Otherwise self-healing is six to 12 months for a full recovery, but surgery is imperative for further diagnosis and to help determine rehabilitation.
