MUSCLE INPINGEMENT IN THE NECK AND SHOULDER

Various muscles derive and attach near the neck and shoulder muscles:

  • levator scapulae
  • protuberantia occipitalis externa
  • rhomboideus minor
  • rhomboideus major
  • semispinalis capitis
  • splenii capitis et cervicis
  • supraspinatus

Neck and Shoulder Injury

Muscles adjacent to the shoulder can be stressed and weakened also they’re prone to soreness plus sensitivity, or tender muscle clumps (penetrated muscles). The source of muscle impingement is endogenous yet injurious working posture can provoke muscle impingement, which can inflict reflective pain in the neck and shoulder girdle. Usually, muscle penetration occurs in shoulder blade muscles ((M supraspinatus and M infraspinatus that can circulate to the arm), and the bigger neck and back muscles (M Trapezius, M levator scapulae, M rhomboideus).

Muscle soreness is exacerbated when compressing the shoulder blade muscles. Usually, dissemination is sensed in the arm (from muscle impingement near the shoulder blade) and in the head (stress: headache with tension in the eyes), when muscle impingement fixates in the posterior of the head.

Medical diagnosis for muscle impingement is usually for persistent irritation, so the location can be immediately identified. This location requires stretching and consistent fitness conditioning.
